Apocalypse 2001 or U.B.L. ?

Rumor has it that Oliver Stone is making a film about the 9/11 WTC attack. I wonder from what perspective he'll tell his version of history?

The Merits of Islam

So Prince Charles is coming to America to lecture us on the merits of Islam is he?

You know I don't seem to recall any mass demonstrations in the streets lately of people chanting 'Death to Iran', 'Death to Pakistan', 'Death to Syria', 'Death to Egypt', Death to Jordan', 'Death to Indonesia', 'Death to Saudia Arabia'. I haven't seen the flags of those countries burned by Americans either.

I would suggest that perhaps he visit Deena Burnett and the kids to explain that Islam really means us no harm. If Ms. Burnett isn't available there are plenty of other families available across the nation that would be more than happy to discuss their experience with the religion of peace. Shouldn't have a problem finding them in New York.

I would suggest further that if he really wants to be affective that he take this same message to Tehran, Cairo, Gaza, Damascus, Islamabad, Lahore, Jakarta; perhaps even sit down and have an nice civil discussion with Zack the Hacker in Iraq or venture over to the cave in Pakistan or Iran that Zawahiri calls home.

But your royal highness, you are our friend and we will listen. Likewise you should listen to us and our thousands of stories of tragedy, of children growing up without parents, families destroyed in the name of this religion and maybe you'll get a grasp of our disdain for not only the lunatic fringe of the religion but also the meager apology from those that claim the jihadist don't represent the aspirations of the religion.

We Americans are a practical people and actions mean more than words. Let me acquaint you with a variation on one of our colloquialisms:

Islam Is As Islamist Do.

Ask this little guy.

Ask the Russians in Beslan,

the people on the train in Madrid,

or the citizens living under Islamic law in Fallujah

Or for that matter, when you get back home lecture the victims of the London bombings on the merits of this religion you so admire.

Here's another colloqialism that you, a sporting fellow, might relate to:

"You're barking up the wrong tree pal." Islam is a cancer on humanity and non-agressive tactics are not going to stop it. It requires some agressive radiological treatment.

Curiouser and Curiouser

Drudge has this particular flash up this morning where Joe Wilson makes the claim that threats are being made against his wife. That, in and of itself, is curious as I would think it more likely that it would be Wilson himself that people would threaten. The more curious item was the last statement in the flash:

"Wilson tells Bradley, contrary to reports that many knew Plame was in the CIA, that only he and three other people knew. 'Well, very few people outside the intelligence community [knew she was CIA]. Her parents and her brother, essentially,' says Wilson."

So exactly what level of security clearance did her parents and brother have? Did she 'out' herself to her family? Might they not brag, as many parents do, about having such an important daughter/sister married to such an important man?

Then there is this.

Most Corrupt Administration Since Harding

OK, in 04 the meme was:
'The Worst Economy Since Hoover' or
"This will be the first administration to have lost jobs during its tenure'.

Of course reality silenced that intellectual dishonesty. Facts; the enemy of the 'reality based' political paradigm.

Now we roll up on the 06 midterms. The horses are lining up to the gate so what new slogan have the Dems come up with? Well it looks like, based on the Libby indicment, it's going to be:

"The Most Corrupt Administration Since Harding".

Let's take that theory out for a little reality spin whatcha say?
Let's compare the Bush administration to the corruption in other administrations.

By my reckoning the indictment score is:

Bush Administration: 01
Harding Administration: 03
Clinton Administration: 30

Hummm..... I guess democrats are having a hard time with superlatives and history.

An Ounce of Prevention

"Aggression unopposed becomes a contagious disease."
-- President Jimmy Carter --

Kerry Has Another Plan

Kerry Urges U.S. to Start Withdrawal From Iraq

Frankly I believe the accompanying photo should have been something like this:

Hope this Plan works out as well as his last plan:

2,000th Death In Iraq

Current US Population 295,734,134
Current Iraq Population 26,074,906

Iraq has 11.34 % of the US population.

Murders last year in US = 16,173
(and it was down from the previous year.)

16,173 x 11.34% = 1,834 murders if the US had Iraq's population.

Average of US deaths in Iraq per year = ~ 800

Many of these murders happen in the very states and cities that the moonbeams opposed to the 'senseless' deaths in Iraq live in.

Murder is far more senseless than combat death.

Anybody see the hypocrisy here?

Cindy how many were murdered in California?
How many just in Los Angeles, the gem of progressive civility ?

Hellooooo tap tap tap.... is this thing on?

Once Upon A Time

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty." -- President John Fitzgerald Kennedy

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." -- Dr. M.L. King

"A man who won't die for something is not fit to live." -- Dr. M.L. King

Once upon a time Democrats had great ideas.

Proposal for a New Holiblogoday

Today would have been my father's 70th birthday. He taught me the logic and virtue of conservativism. I am saddened that he passed away five years ago and never knew of the events that would shortly follow his passing. How much the world changed since June of 2000.

I am certain that he would be as disgusted as I am with the behavior and anti-Americanism of the Left. So in honor of Dad I propose a new Holiblogoday......

So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.... The IOpain View hererby declares October 19

Piss Off/On Liberals Day

But in all fairness let me allow a liberal to comment:

Nuff Said.

Osama's Brain

This is Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri in his younger days. He is rumored to be the ideological brain to Osama Bin Laden.

It is rarely mentioned these days but he was convicted for his involvement in the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat for making peace with Israel.

He recently crawled out of a cave somewhere and went about his normal ranting about zionism, the evils of civilization, the superiority of his lifestyle... that sort of thing. I've been thinking about the generalities of these rants and the context of the times and here's my view.

These guys miscalculated and they are in a corner. They are a mouse that roared and is getting mauled for its efforts. Bin Laden has stated his belief that the American military was a paper tiger. He believed the Americans to be unwilling to take casualties. What he did not count on was boots on the ground in Afghanistan. Then came a massive force in Iraq. We didn't cut and run, what's a terrorist to do?

I found the text of the latest tape, or at least the portion the BBC published, and I have a few observation to cause me to think they are in trouble.

Also note how these guys punctuate sentences with 'God willing'? So far God hasn't been too willing has he Ayman?

BBC NEWS
Text of al-Zawahri statement
:

"As for the British, I tell them that [UK Prime Minister Tony] Blair has brought you destruction in central London, and God willing, will bring more destruction.

O nations of the crusade alliance, we proposed that you at least stop your aggression against the Muslims. The lion of Islam, mujaheed sheikh Osama Bin Laden, may God preserve him, offered you a truce to leave the house of Islam.

Has sheikh Osama Bin Laden not informed you that you will not dream of security until we live it in reality in Palestine and before all infidel armies leave the land of Muhammad, may peace be upon him? You, however, shed rivers of blood in our land so we exploded volcanoes of anger in your land.

Our message to you is crystal clear: Your salvation will only come in your withdrawal from our land, in stopping the robbing of our oil and resources, and in stopping your support for the corrupt and corrupting leaders.

Ayman, have you seen gas prices lately? Who's robbing who? Additionally the reason you have corrupt leaders is that you have corrupt societies. No leader attains and retains power individually. If corrupt leaders is one of your burning issues you should thank us for getting rid of one of the most corrupt. What would you have in its place?

I believe your pal Zarqawi has given us a glimpse of that prospect.

He continues...

What you have you seen, O Americans, in New York and Washington and the losses you are having in Afghanistan and Iraq, in spite of all the media blackout, are only the losses of the initial clashes.

If you continue the same policy of aggression against Muslims, God willing, you will see horror that will make you forget what you saw in Vietnam.

The truth which [US President George W] Bush, [US Secretary of State Condoleezza] Rice and [US Defense Secretary Donald] Rumsfeld hide from you is that the only way out from Iraq is immediate withdrawal, and any delay in this decision will only mean more deaths and more losses.

If you don't leave today, then you shall inevitably leave tomorrow but after scores of thousands of fatalities and double that number of disabled and wounded people.

They are repeating with regard to Iraq the same claims and lies they uttered about Vietnam.

Did they not tell you that they would train the Vietnamese people so that they would run their own affairs themselves, and that they were defending freedom in Vietnam?

Iraq equated to Vietnam.... seems we've heard that same thing from American liberals.

Now there is this translation of the Doctor's correspondence to Zack the Hacker in Iraq. The good Doctor needs money and suggests to Zack the Hacker that video taped beheadings are not polling well and perhaps not exactly the best way to win the hearts and minds of the Muslim population. The one paragraph that I found interesting was this tidbit:

However, despite all of this, I say to you: that we are in a battle, and that more than half of this battle is taking place in the battlefield of the media. And that we are in a media battle in a race for the hearts and minds of our Umma.

Not to worry Doc... what you've lost in bad publicity over there you've gained over here. You have the Left Coast on your side, Academia, the MSM, Code-Pink, the ACLU, Move-On.org, George Galloway and the like pulling for you. Just give them time and they'll get rid of that evil adversary of yours... George Bush.

Keep Hope Alive.

Allah's Wrath ?

The Daily Star: Islamist bloggers hail Katrina as 'Allah's soldier'

Same story in the Mideast Times.

These articles contain comments by the director of the Kuwaiti ministry of endowment's research center, Mohammad Yussef al-Mlaifi concerning the Gulf Coast Hurricanes Katrina and Rita:

"I do not think - and only Allah knows - that this wind, which completely wiped out American cities in these days, is a wind of mercy and blessing. It is almost certain that this is a wind of torment and evil that Allah has sent to this American empire," he said in the daily Al-Siyassa.
..

"'The disaster will keep striking the unbelievers for what they have done, or it will strike areas close to their territory, until the promise of Allah comes to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.'"

Then from the Free Muslims Coalition:

"The entire Islamic world overflowed with joy when Hurricane Katrina struck in America, which seemed to reel from the strength of the hurricane and went asking for aid from all the countries of the world. Broken and completely humiliated, George Bush, a fool who is being obeyed, announced his obvious incapability to deal with the wrath of Allah that visited the city of homosexuals."

So we can establish a common line of thought from these 'thinkers'; natural disasters are visited on those who disobey Allah as a punishment for their wickedness.

And today we have this:

'Massive' casualties feared in big Asia quake7.6 temblor shakes India, Pakistan and Afghanistan; entire villages buried

Looks like Allah isn't too pleased with them either.

Could it be for supporting al-qaeda and Islamic radicalism or sexual abuse of boys in madrassas perhaps?

Perhaps it is a far grander plot where the Zionist neocon puppet, Bush, sent his legions from Hell, Kellogg Brown and Root, to smuggle pork products into these countries under the guise of country fried chicken? Then once the muslim population was defiled by eating swine Allah would pour out his vengeance upon them.

Or how about this, maybe Allah shook the earth to bury Bin Laden and crew and at this very moment they are dying the death not of martyrs but of maggots, earthworms and slugs.

Well, you can't deal with absurdities without getting some of it on you.

Enough Already

CNN.com - Race fears spark St. George ban - Oct 4, 2005:

"LONDON, England (CNN) -- British prison officers who wore a St. George's Cross tie-pin have been ticked off by the jails watchdog over concerns about the symbol's racist connotations."
...

"A lot of Muslims and Arabs view the Crusades as a bloody episode in our history," he told CNN. "They see those campaigns as Christendom launching a brutal holy war against Islam."

You know what, as a Christian I am offended by the distortions of Christianity in the Koran. But my religion teaches to live and let live. I don't have to answer for your sins and you don't have to answer for mine. You cannot force love of God into someone's heart no more than you can force someone to love you. God is no fool and is not taken in by someone professing a religion with a sword held to their neck. ONLY A CULTURE OF COMPLETE MENTAL MALALIGNMENT could believe that.

I am also offended by this current worldwide attempt by muslims to muscle their way into power. Where are the signs of their superiority except in their own minds? Where is their art, their education , their science? Show me something current that makes muslim culture 'great'. They are to busy fighting each other to have contributed anything to the 21st century except a legacy of hate and bloodlust. Their arrogance offends me.

This insanity has to stop. What's next, all roads will have to meet at angles other than 90 degrees so that a muslim flying over the country side will not be offended by the signs of the crusades laid out in the roadwork?

If you don't like the British flag, the flag of Sweden, the flag of Denmark, the flag of Norway then go back to the flea infested dung heaps of 'superior culture' from whence you came. Shut up, let us drill your oil for you, make you rich by no effort from yourselves and you can get on your knees and pray all day long.

You should honor the host that has invited you into his home.
