You Snooze You Lose

I recall, back before the election, one of those stepford-polipundits for the Democrats droning on about George Bush being an impulsive shoot-from-the-hip kind of guy while John Kerry was more cerebral and would contemplate a problem from many various angles before deciding; the self-proclaimed intellectual elite's kind of guy.

Now 18 months later Kerry chooses to respond to the Swift Boat veterans.

In this case thoughtful contemplation proved fatal to his endeavors. Thank God we didn't elect this person and having done so proved fatal to our national security as he studied all the various aspects of reaction to world events moving at a shoot-from-the-hip pace.

Read My Lips 'Vigilantes'

I got to thinking about the way the President dismissed The Minutemen as vigilantes. Well in a technical sense they are.. they are being vigilant. Somebody has to because with 12 million potential rioters in our country someone should have been. I did not take that to be the meaning from the tone the President used.

Describing citizens that are simply fed up with governemnt inaction and choosing to do the job themselves do not deserve such disdain. I believe this will be Bush's 'Read My Lips' moment because it exemplifies the misunderestimation of public sentiment against his 'mi casa su casa' approach to Mexican relations. Mexico is not our friend, Mexico is not our ally and the export of their dysfunctional social structure pose a direct threat to our national security.

The two coming elections will be about illegal immigration in light of national security and neither party is off to a good start yet. In 08 it could very well be a Tancredo type on a third ticket that will determine who is the next President. And we all should keep in mind that a Clinton got a first term as a minority President because Perot drew votes that would have re-elected Bush.

"Read my lips.... No New Amnesty"

Mexican Refugees

I recall a headline recently saying that 65,000 people were fleeing Iraq. Found it on the old reliable BBC. Anytime you need a reference of negativity about Iraq the BBC gladly delivers. When I first saw the headline my intial thought was that it could also have read that "26,009,906 remain in Iraq amid unrest" but that would be a positive statement and that is journalistically taboo. So here we have about .22 % of a population fleeing a country and the article contains this interesting statement:
The United Nations still has only a limited presence inside Iraq but officials in neighbouring Jordan say they are trying to secure emergency funds because of expectations this internal refugee problem will grow."

Now even more recently came the news that 10% of Mexico's population ( 15% of its labor force ) is in the U.S.

I have developed an alternate proposal to the immigration debate. Let's get the UN to declare the illegal immigrants economic refugees fleeing a corrupt narco-regime. We could have them setup refugee camps in the deserts along the border and any refugee found among the general population will be sent to these camps to receive essential necessities and medical assistance from the UN's emergency relief funds. Perhaps humiliate Mexico into rehabilitation. I know... it's a crazy idea... but then it's a crazy world.

Stating The Obvious

If you had to guess what the de facto official language of the United States is then this ought to be the first clue:

The Delusion Of Leftist 'Thinking'

From Drudge:

NOAM CHOMSKY ATTACKS 'TERRORIST STATE' U.S., ISRAEL
WHILE VISITING HEZBOLLAH LEADER

I'm not a fisker but every now and then someone makes a statement so oblivious to reality that the depths of it's stupidity must be plumbed. It's this statement by Chomsky:

"The regional superpower Israel is threatening to attack it [Iran], the U.S. is threatening to attack it. These threats alone are outright violations international law and of the U.N. charter. Iran is in difficulty. Iran has been trying for some years to negotiate settlement but the U.S. just refuses."

Let us disassemble....

"The regional superpower Israel"
Israel's population 6,276,883.
Population of those wishing its demise 323,000,00 arabs
Part of 1,300,000,000 muslims worldwide.
How could so few, accomplish so much, against so many in such a short time?
Maybe sometimes God IS willing.

"is threatening to attack it [Iran],"
Israel should be "wiped off the map"
Israel "cannot logically continue to live"

"U.S. is threatening to attack it."
"The Americans should know that if they launch an assault against Islamic Iran, their interests in every possible part of the world will be harmed,"

"These threats alone are outright violations international law and of the U.N. charter."
Well... I agree with him here. So I guess threatening to wipe a UN member state of the map ought to qualify. Or maybe the seizure of a member state's embassy.

"Iran has been trying for some years to negotiate settlement but the U.S. just refuses."
52 Hostages.... 444 Days, Hezbollah, Beirut Marine Barracks, Hostages in Beirut... and on and on and on right up to supporting al-Sadr in Iraq.

Whatever medication they have him on... I want some.

Most Corrupt Administration in History

John Podhoretz has a new book out.
I think I have a better cover for it.

Look for these words and names coming in the 2007/2008 political silly cycle:
Vince Foster, Rose Law Firm documents, The President's blind trust, Margaret Williams, Secret Service agent Henry O' Neill, Bernard Nussbaum, Patsy Thomason.

Us and Them

I've always favored Thomas Jefferson as the greatest American because his views seem to be the source of what we are trying to describe in our common culture as 'American', especially when speaking of our freedoms and rights. If Washington was the heart of the infant country then I'd say Jefferson was it's soul.

I ran across this the other day and I can see the influence of the thoughts that found the way into the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It's a quick read but let me taint it; keep Islam in mind as you read it.

The Virginia Act For Establishing Religious Freedom

The enemies we face today believes the exact opposite and are willing to kill you and your family if you don't agree with their view.

Those Vile Tax Cuts Strike Again

BREITBART.COM - April Tax Revenue 2nd-Highest in History

Now if we could just cut spending on a Mexican extra-territorial work/health/education program, the funding of the people that cheered 9/11 and want to wipe our ally and UN member off the face of the Earth and other ways we spend our money to make people that hate us.. like us, then we could accelerate the reduction of the deficit.

Kennedy Influence

Cops: Kennedy Was Under Influence - May 5, 2006

OK, here's what we know so far.... he was stumbling, reddened eyes and slurred speech. He says he wasn't drinking and was on the way to a vote ( know thy Constitution ). Now it was the pills. So one way or the other, he claimed he was on his way to vote while under the influence?

Here's how this will pan out. He's exposed and has to back down from his pre-conditioned ( even while drunk ) excuses. Eventually he goes and confesses of 'lapses of judgment' and feigns his willingness to resign his office but leaves it up to the good people Rhode Island to decide. He then goes to the media preaching about the ills of drink, drugs and driving.

Why do I say this.... it's happened before... but this time nobody died.

Update: Oh the tangled webs we weave...
" Some time around 2:45am, I drove the few blocks to the Capitol Complex believing I needed to vote. Apparently, I was disoriented from the medication."

Spain No Longer Part of Europe ?

Reference: Michelle Malkin's HOTAIR video blog ( should we start calling these vlogs ? ) concerning a recent pro-illegal foreigner demonstration in Minnesota.

Malkin quotes KTSP :

Susana De Leon, an activist and part-time instructor of Mexican-American studies, was involved in a verbal confrontation at the rally in Owatonna.

"Yes, people from Europe are wet backs man... their backs so wet because they had to cross an ocean to get here," De Leon said at the rally.

De Leon is also an immigration attorney who led the rally in Owatonna. -end quote.

Ok let's derive a few things from that quote:
1. De Leon is a university level instructor
2. De Leon is also an attorney
3. De Leon is most likely of Mexican heritage

From these indicators one would think that De Leon should know:
1. Mexicans are of Spanish heritage.
2. Their native language is Spanish.
3. Spain is part of Europe.
4. Spaniards are Europeans.
5. The Spanish also brutally conquered parts of the Americas.

So we can conclude that a Mexican's heritage is as European as any gringo's. But if you repeat the lie loud enough and long enough and the receivers of the lie are too clueless to know the difference it somehow gets accepted as an unquestionable truth.
