Gore Is An Idiot, Let Me Count The Ways

Just reading a bit about Mr. Green's speech. This guy is about as stupid as they come.
Shall I fisk ?

"Eight years ago, some said there was not much difference between the nominees of the two major parties and it didn’t really matter who became president," Gore said. "Our nation was enjoying peace and prosperity. Some assumed we would continue both, no matter the outcome. But here we all are in 2008, and I doubt anyone would argue now that election didn’t matter.

Enjoying peace and prosperity... Peace !? Somalia, Tanzania, Khobar Towers, averting our heads from genocide in Rwanda, the USS Cole leading up to those wonderful days of eight years ago. He also seems to forget that Clinton handled the economy so well that two years into his term the Republicans took the Congress at which point the economic boom began. Not to mention the most obvious delimiting event that forever brought a new way of thinking towards those that would wish us ill.. September 10th and September 11th.

Oh this next one is loaded with delusion:

"Take it from me," Gore continued," if it had ended differently, we would not be bogged down in Iraq," ( 5 casualties last month, an agreement for coalition troops to stand down as the Iraqi stand up and the turning over of Anbar province coming Monday ) Bogged down... Al that was a year or two ago... read a conservative blog please and get up to date.

"we would have pursued bin Laden until we captured him." Then what Al ? Keep in mind that Bin Laden's driver has recently made the point that it was the Clinton/Gore administration's inaction on the attacks mentioned above that emboldened Bin Laden. Had the Clinton/Gore administration acted when they had the chance there would have been no need to pursue bin Laden and what makes us think that since you had your chance and failed multiple times you would have done any better ?

"We would not be facing a self-inflicted economic crisis;" ( and how is that the administration's fault... because a robust economy gave hope to people who fell prey to unscrupulous lenders ? ) "we would be fighting for middle-income families." ( like giving them back the revenue surplus before Congress gottheir grubby hands on it to earmark ?) "We would not be showing contempt for the Constitution;" ( Democrats would never do that would they ) "we’d be protecting the rights of every American, regardless of race, religion, disability, gender or sexual orientation. And we would not be denying the climate crisis; we’d be solving it." ( You mean the cooling crisis that began in 1998 ? ).

Then he makes the comparison to Lincoln, a Republican, who suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus, allowed military tribunals to put people on trial and in some cases allow their execution. Whose term in office is often referred to by scholars of the presidency as the dictatorial presidency.

"The experience Lincoln’s supporters valued most in that race was his powerful ability to inspire hope in the future at a time of impasse," Gore said. "He was known chiefly as a clear thinker and a great orator, with a passion for justice and a determination to heal the deep divisions of our land. He insisted on reaching past partisan and regional divides, to exalt our common humanity. In 2008, once again, we find ourselves at the end of an era with a mandate from history to launch another new beginning. And once again, we have a candidate whose experience perfectly matches an extraordinary moment of transition."

Absolute, airheaded, uniformed BS.
