First 100 Days

Tomorrow is the first arbitrarily insignificant 100th day of the Obama administration. The press is probably going to bed tonight much like a small child the night before Christmas.

Despite the fact that his popularity is a little short of deserving such adulation the press is dozing off with visions of scripting lines of praise for their tireless efforts to build a better 'Camelot' around the one they so admire. The one that will deliver them from white guilt and perceived class victimization.

As the press relieves themselves of pent up leg-tingling exuberance others will be relieving themselves in their own ways. Artist Michael D'Antuono will unveil his massa's piece 'The Truth' today on the South Plaza of NYC's Union Square.
"D'Antuono insists that this piece is a mirror; reflecting the personal opinions and emotions of the viewer; that "The Truth" like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. D'Antuono expects that individual interpretations will vary as widely as they do in the political arena. The work will be seen by one viewer at a time behind a voting booth-inspired public installation."
"The Truth"

Yes.. indeed. Very thought provoking. I put down some of the 'Truths' that Mr. D'Antuono might like to consider as the truths other see in his composition.

"The Art of Being Articulate"

"Bringing his community organizing skills to a city near you"

"A Job For Everyone"

"Inspirations"

"The Puppeteer"

"Pay N0 Attention to the Money Behind the Curtain"

"Hey if Kanye can be compared to Christ...."

In Closing, 100 reasons they celebrate.

Just talked to my neighbor along those lines... a true believer should see death as the best thing that ever happened to them.

But part of me wants to stick around and see how this comedy turns out.
