Walk It Like You Talk It

Obama has returned from Europe but the family stays behind for bit of shopping.

I have a couple of questions about the article.

1. How much is this costing for travel and security ?
2. From one of the pictures, where is the Michelle's hair?

What kind of burns me about this is how oblivious the Obamas are to their blatant hypocrisy. Now it is understandable that special consideration for the two girl's schooling is a necessity because we do live in a society where all kinds of nut jobs might endanger these two innocent children. Additionally I am glad these two bright girls have such a wonderful opportunity that I have myself had thanks to those evil petroleum companies when Exxon transferred Dad to Norway.

But I am sure these exceptional children are equally deserving of similar educational opportunities:

Obama and his Democrat servants in Congress tell us how important educating American children is and I agree. In fact, it is of the highest priority. If we are going to bailout anything it should be our schools. Now if they could just walk it like they talk it. I doubt though Obama or Michelle would be willing to give up this shopping spree to help those two little kids have the same opportunity their children have.

This is not change. This is not hope.

Exactly right. What this is, is a president with a media hall pass. It is honestly sickening to see how the media plays up every action of the first family . GW was roundly criticized for hanging out at a house he owned. As I carefully explained to many of the young libs my age, the office of the presidency essentially requires aids for briefing and a couple of working phone lines. That is no problem at a home in Crawford. It is sort of a problem at an up-scale French bistro. Now, I don't have a problem with he and his wife going out, but using it as an American Idol-type promotional while continuing to denigrate the previous administration? I mean, come on! Act like a president! Carter had more sense than this guy. Mondale had more sense than this guy.

GS, yes this hero worship from the media is troubling. Since I am a child of the 70's what I think this amounts to is a 'last hurrah' for the Boomers. They so want to experience those days one more time before they have to hop into their graves. So they are trying to build the new Camelot. But Camelot was a myth.

Our history is indeed full of injustice, conquest, violence and racism. But if our children do not understand where we came from to be where we are they will never have a basis of where we are going.
If the press doesn't hold the President's feet to the fire then the ship of state is rudderless and about to hit the rocks.

i cannot believe they're putting a stop to this valuable program. wait a minute! it's all making sense to me now...they don't want inner city children to succeed - they may grow a brain and figure them out.

Yep, you know how unions hate it when something other than their way actually works. Just sad those two kids don't have opportunity.

But that's how it is on the Democrat's Plantation.
