Euopean Socialists: Running Out of Other People's Money

What we are seeing is the European Socialist economic model running out of other people's money.  Ireland on the brink. It will get worse before it gets better.

And our brilliant Democrats want to emulate this failed system even as it collapses before their very eyes.

Glad His Rights Were Violated.

Very disturbing. This guy didn't care if he killed children and destroyed families. There comes a point we need to get off this idea that 'we are better than that' and come to an understanding that those among us who wish to deny others of their rights have forfeited theirs willfully. Watch this guy get off because of entrapment by some idiot liberal judge.

After reading the comments from the article and some of the potential victims actually defending this poor wayward young man I am reminded of one of my observations about the anti-survival impulses brought on by an affliction of liberalism:

An IOpian view on Survival:
Any being or entity too stupid to recognize a threat to its existence or having recognized the threat inhibits action to remove that threat deserves its impending fate.

Update: As chance would have it, Gateway Pundit has a post today showing this behavior in action. Luckily someone stepped in and protected Portland liberals from their own diminished thinking.

I'll throw this one in for good measure:

An IOpian view on the Left's Cognitive Dissonance:
In general terms it takes about two years for the Left to realize what the Right notices immediately.

It's 58 or 59 States, Not 57

Have been reading a lot about Obama's faux pas concerning the number of states. The common mistake is that he believes there are 57 states. BUT, if you go back and watch the video he had been to 57 states with one more to go. That's 58 states. Technically 59 if you count the two he mentions he hadn't been to. This is exactly how pop culture gets it wrong through repetition of inaccuracies.

Raw Talent Saturday

Sometimes while net surfing you run across something you've missed for years. I am not sure where I found the original video but it was an American blues player on a English show. His name is Seasick Steve. The guy is a delight and one hell of a pure bluesman in the delta traditional. He is apparently quite the rage in Europe. On one of his videos he was joined by a singer named Amy LaVere. I checked into her and was blown away by raw talent with a unique sound and presentation.

Enjoy... love this groove...

Oh what the hell... here's Seasick Steve.

Now that's blues like it ought to be done. By someone that lived it.

The Audacity of Dopes ?

I find it odd that John Kerry is going hat in hand to his supporters at this time - four years before he is up for re-election. Perhaps we are about to see a battle between two of the biggest liberal egos for the 2012 Democratic nomination. It would be interesting and humbling for Obama to be challenged.

Why America Won't Buy Palinism - The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan

Why America Won't Buy Palinism - The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan

Sullivan misses the point that this wasn't directed at the President but rather at his media apologists employing a double-standard towards those they do not agree with politically while protecting those they agree with when they make the same mistakes. He does the very thing she is ridiculing with this post about her, someone he despises. He would not do the same thing with a politician he supports.

Nancy and Harry's Legacy

If we can pass this Repeal Amendment it will be as a response to the Pleosi/Reid congress and their acting outside of the will of the People.

It's The Rules of Engagement Stupid.

What good are battle tanks in Afghanistan if the rules of engagement don't let them use their power? Nothing put targets for RPG's from 'friendly' villages. We are still fighting with one hand tied behind our backs. Washington needs to back off and let the military conduct military operations. Are far as Karzi he can either take it or leave it. We'll be glad to pull out and let him have it his way.

Political Roaches and Cable News Light.

Why we have the First Amendment and Freedom of the Press. Much like a thief wanting security cameras turned off to make their job easier. People that would even entertain these thoughts should not hold elected office.

Obamacare: Death by Starvation

The outright repeal of Obamacare is effectively out of the picture for the next two years while the Democrats hold the Presidency and the Senate. However, Republicans are in the position to starve it into oblivion by Constitutional means:
Article 1 Section 7:

All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

The key to implementation is the establishment of these exchanges in each state. Do not fund them. Stall until the next election cycle and hope for a Republican President and Senate when repeal is more likely to pass.

Of course Republicans could just use a Pelosi tactic and just deem it so.

Obama Learns About Compromise

Now that the President 'I Won' sees his political fate wilting he wants the Republicans to work with him to move his agenda forward. The measure of compromise the Republicans should offer is the equal measure provided to them during the health-care fiasco by the Democrats- absolutely none and John Boehner ought to say so publicly.

I fail to recognize his 'genius' as purported by starry-eyed Democrats... the guy is an arrogant naive twit. I anxiously await the Chief Justice Robert's presiding over his impeachment in the Senate. His little petty power SOTU stunt may come back to bite him. Political lessons learned too late and at great cost.
